When are the next Durham school holidays?

Durham schools returned from the February half term break back into the Spring term on Monday February 25 2019. If you're already feeling like half term was years ago, then don't worry: the Durham schools Easter term ends on Friday April 5 2019. You've then got a glorious two weeks to enjoy all the Durham events and activities available across the county.

The last day of the Easter Durham school holidays is Monday April 22, so Durham schools reopen after Easter on Tuesday April 23 2019 (the discrepancy of the school term restarting on Tuesday rather than Monday is because Easter comes right at the end of the holiday, and so this takes into account Easter Monday, which is still a Bank Holiday).

Durham school holidays beyond Easter

Make it to the Easter school holidays, and you've then got two breaks in the Durham school summer term before you make it to the summer holidays. One is May Day, which is the May Bank holiday. Durham schools close for the May Bank holiday 2019 on Friday May 3, and reopen again on Tuesday May 7.

Durham schools then break up for the summer half term holiday on Friday May 24 2019, and return on Monday June 3.
