How much do Durham Beer Festival tickets cost and what do I get?

Durham Beer Festival tickets cost £5, which includes glass hire, a programme and a beer token. Tokens are used instead of cash at the bar: it costs one token for a half pint of all drinks up to and including 5.9% ABV, or one third of a pint for drinks of 6.0% ABV or above (or up to 6.9% and over 7.0% for cider and perry). You can also decide either to keep the glass at the end or get a small refund for it.

I'm the designated driver - what do I do?

Designated drivers at Durham Beer Festival will get a wristband and no glass, but you get in for free. There's a cash soft drinks bar.

Anything else I need to know?

You can leave and return to the Durham Beer Festival on the same day, but you'll need to buy a new glass if you don't bring the original one back with you.
