A free Durham city guided tour will take you around some of the less well known historic spots of our city.

The Durham city tour will focus on the hidden history of Durham, making it suitable for locals and visitors alike.

Led by archivist and historian David Butler, the tour begins in the centre of the city and will last for about an hour.

The free Durham tour leaves from the main entrance to the Market Hall on Thursday August 8 2019, leaving at 10.30am.

Although places are free, numbers are restricted and prebooking is needed. To reserve a place call Karen on 0191 384 6153, or email durhammarkets@yahoo.co.uk
