The Durham peninsula was hit by a power cut, with electricity out across 190 properties in the area.
Durham's electricity went off at 9.42am on Monday June 3 2019. However, although the power cut was expected to last an hour and a half, the Durham electricity supply was actually restored within an hour.
The properties affected included the electricity to the buildings at Palace Green.
The Northern Powergrid website stated that Durham electricity had experienced a power cut at 9.42am and the estimated time it would be restored was 11.15am.
The website said: "The power cut affecting your property has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve your area.
"Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible."
However, power was eventually restored within the hour and Durham electricity came back on by 10.39am. A Northern Powergrid spokeswoman confirmed that a power cut affected around 190 customer in the DH1 3 postcode area due to a fault on the 11,000 volt underground power network.
She said: "Our engineers restored power to all properties by 10.39am, switching the electricity network around to deliver power from an alternative section.
"We'd like to thank our customers for their patience whilst our team worked to get the lights back on."
