Where is Bishop Auckland Food Festival 2019 taking place? Well, Bishop Auckland, unsurprisingly, but what's the location within the town?

The location for Bishop Auckland Food Festival in previous years has been Auckland Castle grounds; however, because of the development and building work that is going on in Auckland Castle for their extensive plans, the Bishop Auckland Food Festival 2019 location will instead be in Bishop Auckland Marketplace in front of the town hall.

Bishop Auckland Marketplace is where the 150 food stalls will be located. There will also be a free Bishop Auckland Marketplace stage where you can watch cookery demonstrations and shows without having to book. There will be some big names there too, including Great British Bakeoff semifinalist Briony May Williams.

Bishop Auckland Food Festival last year attracted more than 27,000 visitors. As well as the celebrity talks and the stalls, there will also be artisan local food producers, cookery workshops and cookery book signings. There will also be live music as well as a Gingo - a mixture of gin and bingo, which sounds amazing. There is also Beer and Bites, which is a beer and food tasting session.

Bishop Auckland Food Festival brings together everything food related from County Durham and beyond, including workshops, stalls, and talks by famous faces from the most popular TV cookery shows such as Masterchef and the Great British Bake-off.
