This free Gala Gallery exhibition 'In My World' explores what it's like to grow up in County Durham, with photographs set up by young people to showcase places that play a significant part in their lives.

The free Gala Gallery exhibition runs from Saturday September 14 to Saturday November 2, 10am to 8.30pm Monday to Saturday and 2.30pm to 8.30pm on Sunday.

Help the Woodland Trust maintain a newly planted wood at Castlehills Woodland, near the Derwent Valley. It's on Wednesday September 18 10am to 3pm, and all tools will be provided, as well as tea and coffee, but bring stout shoes, waterproofs and a packed lunch.
