Jane Beedle from the Great British Bake Off will be leading bread and cake workshops and classes at Bishop Auckland Food Festival 2020.

A finalist from the Great British Bake Off 2016, Jane Beedle will lead bread making and cupcake decorating workshops for children and adults.

Bishop Auckland Food Festival 2020 takes place on Saturday and Sunday April 18 and 19. You can find more information in our celebrity chef free tickets story.

After appearing on The Great British Bake Off in 2016, garden designer Jane went on to win the Christmas Special on Channel 4 in 2018. She has appeared at food festivals across the country, hosted countless baking classes and is in the process of setting up a cookery school near her new home in the Kent countryside.

The Jane Beedle workshops will take place in Bishop Auckland Town Hall on both the Saturday and Sunday, at the following times:

10.30am: children's cupcake decorating. Tickets cost £5 and the class is suitable for children aged five to 12, who must be accompanied by an adult.

11.45am: bread making - focaccia. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for children under 14. The class is suitable for children over the age of ten and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

1.30pm: adult cupcake decorating. Tickets cost £8 and the class is suitable for people aged 16 and over.

3pm: breadmaking - chocolate swirl buns. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for children under 14. The class is suitable for children over the age of ten and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
