Road closures for Durham City Run will affect streets across the centre of the city this week.

The Durham City Run road closures will also be at Quarryheads and to the north of the city. However, they will only last for a few hours.

Durham City Run will see a 10k and 5k race taking place on a route that goes across the centre of the city.

There is also a three day festival with running and fitness-themed events and activities, from talks and book signings to masterclasses and film screenings, as well as the debut of a new family fitness scheme launched by Paula Radcliffe.

You can read all the details, times and ticket information in our Durham City Run Festival story.
