Durham Fire and Ice 2019 is all about Heroes and Villains - but here's a chance for your children to come face to face with superheroes.

They say you shouldn't meet your heroes, but you can't pass up an opportunity for your children to meet Batman and Batgirl.

As part of Durham Fire and Ice 2019, M&Co inside Durham's Prince Bishops Shopping Centre is hosting a superheroes fun day that should provide some excellent family fun as we come towards the end of the February half term.

The Bertie's Superhero Fun days is a free event will coincide with the two days of Durham Fire and Ice on Friday and Saturday, February 22-23. Children can come down in their best superhero costume and join in the fun.

What are the Bertie's Superhero Fun performances, and when are they?

On Friday February 22, there will be two superhero live performances, at 12pm and 2pm, when you can watch the superheroes in action. There will then be an opportunity for children to meet the superheroes afterwards, including Batman, Batgirl, Captain America and Supergirl. Performances take place in the Prince Bishops Family Fun Land area, inside the M&Co store. They are expected to be popular, so get there early.

What's happening on Saturday?
